GSL Education are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting in Hathersage (S32). This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with a range of special educational needs and who thrives in a small, structured, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:
* Deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual learning needs of pupils with SEN.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families.
* Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Requirements for the SEN Teacher role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
* Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
