Teaching Assistant – Year 6

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Leigh is seeking a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team from the Easter term until the end of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education as they prepare for SATs and transition to secondary school.
The Role:
* Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom
* Delivering targeted interventions in reading, writing and maths
* Providing small group and 1:1 support where required
* Assisting with SATs preparation and booster sessions
* Helping to maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience working in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable)
* Be confident supporting upper KS2 maths and literacy
* Have strong behaviour management skills
* Be organised, proactive and able to use their initiative
* Build positive, professional relationships with pupils and staff
* Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
