Applications are invited for 2 full-time, locally employed doctor posts (ST3+ level) in Anaesthesia.
The appointments are to commence ASAP for a fixed-term period of one year, following an initial 6-month probationary period.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of postgraduate anaesthetic experience, including at least 12 months in the UK. A primary FRCA or equivalent qualification is essential.
These are non-training posts without deanery approval for training. Successful candidates will have a named mentor and are entitled to 15 days of study leave per year.
The posts do not award a National Training Number. GMC registration with a licence to practice is required. If the appointee does not have UK residence rights, sponsorship will be necessary.
The duties include out-of-hours work at ST3+ level and provision of anaesthesia under local supervision.
Based at HUTH, the appointees will gain experience in various anaesthetic specialties, including airway, head and neck, regional, obstetrics, paediatrics, neuro, cardiac, vascular, major GI surgery, and plastics. The role involves participation in audits and QI projects with departmental support.
The post includes a 1 in 8 on-call commitment on a full-shift rota, potentially covering registrar on-call duties for HICU 1, CICU 1, and obstetric anaesthesia.
