Job Description
The key duties of the role are as followed:
* Prepare monthly financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
* Complete VAT returns and year-end statutory accounts.
* Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain the financial ledger and account reconciliations.
* Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
* Support the month-end and year-end close process.
* Manage financial audit processes.
* Participate in continuous improvement of the accounting process.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
* Previous NHS experience
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong numerical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
