Summary
Purpose:
The Subject Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, strategically aligned content and resources that support AQA’s subject offerings.Landscape:
Working closely with subject experts and cross-functional teams, this role ensures that content meets the evolving needs of educators and learners, contributes to customer acquisition and retention, and supports AQA’s broader product strategy.
Activities:
Strategic Content DevelopmentLead the planning, development, and lifecycle management of subject-specific content in alignment with AQA’s strategic goals.
Ensure content supports the delivery of the subject product roadmap and enhances AQA’s market position.
Use customer insight and feedback to inform content strategy and continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Stakeholder EngagementWork collaboratively with subject experts, product and assessment teams, and third-party providers to co-create impactful content.
Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external contributors to ensure alignment with quality standards and strategic objectives.
Represent the content function in cross-functional planning and review meetings.
Content Lifecycle and Quality AssuranceManage the full lifecycle of content—from commissioning and development to review, repurposing, and retirement.
Ensure all content adheres to AQA’s quality framework, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines.
Monitor content performance and implement improvements based on data and user feedback.
Operational and Project ManagementCoordinate the production of content to ensure timely delivery within budget and to required quality standards.
Write clear and effective briefs for internal and external contributors.
Manage project timelines, risks, and resource allocation.
Customer and Market FocusEnsure content is designed with the end-user in mind, delivering value to teachers, learners, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of customer value propositions through content innovation and responsiveness to market needs.
Continuous Improvement and InnovationIdentify opportunities to improve content processes, tools, and delivery methods.
Stay informed of best practices in digital content development and educational trends.
Contribute to a culture of innovation and high performance within the team.
