Offer description

Organisation Casual Ballerz CIC Salary Voluntary Location Remote with occasional travel London as needed Contract type Volunteer (Part time) Closing date 1 January 2026 Job Description Assistant Director (Volunteer) – Help Build and Sustain a Movement for Youth in London

Remote with in-person commitment | Volunteer | Opportunity to Grow with the Organisation
Required attendance: Monthly training & matchday, Sundays (8 PM staff meeting, Zoom), Mondays (8 PM funding meeting, Zoom)

Casual Ballerz CIC is looking for 1–2 volunteer Assistant Directors to help lead behind the scenes, driving business sustainability, operational excellence, and strategic growth.

This is a key leadership role for someone who understands that real impact comes not just from what happens on the pitch — but from what gets built off it. We’ve already recruited one strong Assistant Director, and we’re now seeking up to two more individuals who can help push our organisation forward.

If you're strategic, self-motivated, business-minded, and ready to play a crucial part in scaling a youth development movement, this is your opportunity.

About Us
Casual Ballerz CIC is a youth-led social enterprise based in London, committed to transforming the lives of underserved young people through football, mentorship, employment support, and mental health programming.

We are growing — and we know that sustainable growth takes operational clarity, financial planning, and bold outreach. That’s where you come in.

What You'll Focus On
We’re seeking people with the initiative and skill to take ownership of one or more of the following core areas:

Business Development & Financial Sustainability
Generate and help implement strategies to diversify income (e.g. enterprise, fundraising campaigns, scalable partnerships)
Organisational Operations & Productivity
Improve staff systems, task management, and internal workflows to maximise delivery and reduce burnout
Corporate & Community Partnerships
Build relationships with businesses, funders, and external stakeholders that can support our mission and expand our network
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Lead or contribute to large-scale marketing campaigns, digital growth, and long-term brand development
This is a leadership support role — you’ll work directly with the Founder and existing Assistant Director to shape priorities, provide solutions, and ensure the mission stays on track behind the scenes.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Founder on strategic direction, internal planning, and new initiatives
Attend weekly staff meetings (Sundays, 8 PM) and funding meetings (Mondays, 8 PM) on Zoom
Attend one training session and one game per month to stay connected with on-the-ground delivery
Identify organisational bottlenecks and propose actionable solutions
Contribute to grant planning, budgets, and business case development
Lead or support outreach to corporate sponsors and community partners
Track and support internal projects to ensure consistency and accountability
Help shape internal culture and team growth plans

Who We're Looking For
You are a strong fit if you:

Are highly organised, proactive, and driven by outcomes
Have experience in project management, business development, operations, or nonprofit leadership
Understand the importance of financial planning, systems, and sustainability in mission-led work
Communicate clearly and are comfortable working in a hybrid team (remote and in-person)
Are passionate about youth development, equity, and social impact
Want to use your skills to help build something real, from the inside out

You might be:

A recent graduate with strong leadership and business instincts
A professional seeking a purposeful side project
Someone with operational or entrepreneurial experience looking to support a grassroots cause

What You’ll Gain
Direct influence in how a youth development organisation scales, sustains, and grows
Opportunities to lead meaningful initiatives from planning through execution
A collaborative leadership team where your voice matters
Potential to grow into a paid leadership role as funding increases
A space where passion, accountability, and action come before titles
Mentorship and shared leadership with peers who are building for long-term change

Time Commitment
Staff Meeting – Sundays at 8 PM (Zoom)
Funding Meeting – Mondays at 8 PM (Zoom)
One training session + one game per month (in person, London-based)
Flexible weekly commitment based on your capacity and focus area

Behind every powerful movement is a strong leadership engine. Help us build one.

If you have the drive, skills, and vision to help shape something with long-term impact, we’d love to hear from you.
