If you’re an experienced building services expert frustrated by slow processes, legacy systems or a lack of strategic input, this is your moment. This leading co-educational independent school educates children aged 4–18 across a large, multi-building campus in South London. They’ve also recently expanded their group with the addition of another school, with more growth on the horizon. Your role? To be the driving force behind engineering excellence. As Head of Building Services, you’ll take technical ownership of MEP services across the estate. You’ll shape how the school manages the lifecycle of its critical assets, ask the right questions of contractors, hold people to account, and bring a strategic lens to every project. There’s no “this is how we’ve always done it” mindset here. You’ll work alongside a modern, values-led senior team who want your challenge, energy and ideas. Importantly, you won’t be buried in line management. You’ll oversee the M&E contract, but with no direct reports, you’ll have the headspace to be both strategic and operational, building strong relationships with stakeholders across the school and external partners.
