Within the Trackside Engineering Team we have a rare opportunity as a Senior Performance Engineer.
Data system Engineer - The Role
Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Data System Engineer will manage all the activites related to the data, IHM (interface human machine) and global reliability of the car. Also involve a lot in all process and link with mechanics (sensor calibration, EBS bleeding,…). While running, he’s managing all energy and fuel aspect. Finally, he’s in charge of fuel capacity and weight management.
Data system Engineer - The Person
The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree. They will have a strong understanding of system and global racing car functioning. He must be able to use data software but also some knowledge in terms of programming in order to automatize some tools of analysis. Involve directly with engineers on one car, he must enjoy and manage well the pressure of racing.
In addition they will possess:
• A good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, VBA is an advantage.
• 3 years of experience in this role
• Endurance (WEC/ELMS/Asian LMS/Formula 1/Formula E/…) trackside experience is highly recommanded.
• LMP style car well founded knowledge is a must.
• Fluent in English, French is a plus
