Assistant Delivery Manager
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) is looking for two experienced managers for the Assistant Delivery Manager roles in Trauma & Orthopaedics / Rheumatology. The closing date is 25 May 2026.
Job Responsibilities
As an Assistant Delivery Manager, you will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager and Service Manager to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Your key responsibilities include:
* Operational lead for all administrative functions.
* Assist day‑to‑day operational management of services/specialities.
* Support delivery of high‑quality patient services within available resources.
* Support Care Group leadership teams to meet CQC standards, 18‑week targets, cancer targets and UEC standards.
* Develop and maintain effective reporting arrangements to record and monitor performance against local and national targets.
* Work with clinical teams to resolve blockages and bottlenecks.
* Provide regular reports to the Service Manager/Service Delivery Manager.
* Support financial performance within the Trust’s agreed financial targets.
Qualifications & Experience
* Senior experience of office management.
* Experience supervising staff and developing staff potential.
* Experience handling complaints.
* Experience in a line management capacity within a health service.
* Experience working with the general public.
* Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Experience managing NHS waiting lists and patient tracking lists.
* Experience booking patient appointments in the NHS.
* Experience managing a budget.
Person Specification
A successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, ability to lead support teams, and a commitment to high quality patient care.
