We are seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineering Manager for our team in Crawley. This role involves shaping and delivering innovative solutions to improve our core software product and coordinating data science advancements to deliver actionable insights.
You will own the technical direction, quality, cyber security, and daily management of skilled software development and data science teams. Responsibilities include mentoring, performance management, workload planning, and supporting professional growth. You will also contribute to developing the software stack, leading projects from inception through testing.

In this role, you will:

* Develop system microservices using C# and Python
* Design database schemas with SQL Server and Postgres; create ORMs with Entity Framework Core and SQLAlchemy

* Collaborate on project planning with management
* Mentor team members and promote teamwork
* Handle recruiting, performance, and development processes in cooperation with HR
Who you are:
You create and implement resource plans, align employee development with organizational goals, and uncover root causes of complex problems.
Requirements:
* Degree in computer science, physics, math, or similar
* Expertise in C#, Python, and SQL development
* Experience leading teams
* Experience with large or complex projects using advanced language and framework features
Preferred qualifications:
* Ability to improve development processes and documentation standards
* Experience in matrix organizations
