Service Architect – SC Cleared – Inside IR35
The Service Architect will lead the end-to-end service design and transition planning for secure, complex digital services within a national security environment. Working closely with security, delivery, and operational stakeholders, the Service Architect ensures that services are supportable, resilient, compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, own, and maintain Service Design Packs (SDPs), ensuring alignment with internal service strategy and security governance frameworks.
Define, socialise, and govern Service Acceptance Criteria (SAC), ensuring cross-functional agreement and formal sign-off.
Drive and manage Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR/FORR), integrating input from delivery, support, assurance, and user teams.
Design and assure Service Operating Models, including roles, responsibilities, SLAs, OLAs, and key control points for secure service delivery.
Ensure all support artefacts, handover documents, escalation paths, and knowledge transfer plans are in place and approved before go-live.Essential Experience
Proven track record delivering Service Design and Transition in national security, law enforcement, defence, or central government programmes.
Deep understanding of service management in secure, multi-supplier, and hybrid cloud environments
Knowledge of service monitoring, incident management, and problem management processes in secure environments.
Working knowledge of SIAM models, ITIL v4 and their application within GDS-aligned or hybrid-agile environments
