Water Recycling is at the core of our operations. We are responsible for collecting and treating used water, returning it safely to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers and over 1,000 water recycling centres.
What will you be doing?
You will serve as one of our Water Recycling Services Works Technicians in Southend and nearby areas, covering several local sites. Your duties will include routine maintenance, monitoring, and adjusting treatment processes at water recycling centres. This is a hands-on role working outdoors in all weather conditions, with varied and challenging tasks that make each day different.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out scheduled activities via a scheduling app or direct instructions from Technicians, FLM, or Optimiser
* Collaborating with OMC to reschedule work plans to address critical compliance issues
* Ensuring site servicing maintains effective and efficient operations, following correct procedures to ensure compliance
* Performing asset care activities such as lubrication schedules to required standards
* Implementing actions from Compliance Action Plans
What are we looking for?
* GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
* Confidence and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Competency with IT systems
* Experience in sewerage design and construction (desirable)
* Strong administrative skills
* Flexibility and good interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers
* Strong focus on health and safety and process adherence
* Ability to work independently, solve problems quickly, and use initiative
* Full driving license
