Ob Title: Practitioner Psychologist
Location: North West England (school-based setting)
Hours & Contract: Permanent, term-time only (full-time or part-time considered)
Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE) + welcome bonus
Essential Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
About the Role
We are seeking a Practitioner Psychologist to join a growing multidisciplinary team, supporting children and young people with additional needs, including intellectual disabilities, autism, and complex mental health needs.
The role involves delivering psychological assessments and interventions, holding a clinical caseload, and contributing to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice. You will play a key role in shaping and developing therapeutic provision in line with neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed approaches.
This is a varied position that offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference, working within a supportive and experienced clinical team.
Key Responsibilities

Provide individual assessments and interventions for children and young people.

Hold a caseload and maintain accurate clinical records.

Contribute to service development, training, and reflective practice sessions.

Work collaboratively with education staff, families, and other professionals.

Collect and analyse clinical data to inform service delivery.
Essential Criteria
*
Doctoral-level qualification in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, or Educational).
*
HCPC registration (and relevant professional body membership).
*
Post-qualification experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and/or complex needs.
*
Strong communication and collaborative working skills.
*
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
*
Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
