Stock Room Assistant Role
This role involves some heavy lifting and manual handling. As a Stock Room Assistant, you will be responsible for receiving goods and ensuring they are stored correctly according to the larder’s FIFO (first in, first out) policy. You will also complete weekly stock checks and temperature checks, and ensure the storeroom and equipment are kept clean and tidy.
Main Activities and Tasks:
1. Assist with receiving deliveries and stock
2. Assist with placing food orders
3. Store goods correctly and safely
4. Check that goods are in date and in good condition
5. Operate a FIFO stock system
6. Maintain cleanliness of the storeroom and equipment
7. Complete food safety and procedural paperwork
Experience required:
Previous experience working with food or in a warehouse/stockroom environment is desirable, but all applications are welcome.
This opportunity takes place at Springside Community Centre.
