Early Years Practitioner – Stafford
Start Date: As soon as possible.
We are recruiting dedicated and nurturing Early Years Practitioners (EYP) to support local private nurseries day‑to‑day. Following a new partnership, we are growing our team to ensure consistent, high‑quality care and support.
This flexible role is ideal for Early Years and Nursery Practitioners seeking varied experience, work‑life balance, or those wanting to return to the workforce full‑time or part‑time.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside teachers and fellow practitioners to deliver fun EYFS‑appropriate lessons and activities.
* Consistently provide high standards of care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for each child.
* Support children's early literacy, numeracy, communication and personal development daily.
* Encourage independence by supporting children to develop confidence, promote positive behaviour through consistent guidance and reinforcement, and support social interaction by encouraging cooperation, sharing and positive relationships.
Qualifications / Requirements
* A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
* A good level of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Grade C and above / Functional Skills Level 2 minimum).
* Previous valuable experience working with young children in a nursery or primary school setting.
* A strong knowledge and passion for the EYFS curriculum.
* Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to work towards).
* Commute to Stafford daily.
* Pay £14.24 – £15 per hour, holiday pay included in day rate.
