Main Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
* Analyze financial data to provide insights into business performance, trends, and opportunities for non-legal departments
* Monitor KPIs and financial metrics to identify improvement areas and support decision-making
* Prepare accurate monthly MI packs and weekly Flash reports, including variance analysis and commentary
Business Partnering
* Act as a trusted advisor to Non-Legal Directors, providing financial guidance to meet strategic goals
* Collaborate across departments to understand business needs and challenges
Budgeting and Forecasting
* Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting for assigned departments, working with budget holders to develop realistic financial plans
* Monitor budget variances, offering proactive recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
* Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Fully qualified or finalist in CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to build relationships across all levels and communicate effectively with financial and non-financial teams
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Experience in the legal sector
* Use of a case management system
* Commercially led mindset
