About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping a pupil access learning, regulate emotions, and feel safe and supported in school. You will be part of a collaborative staff team that values your input and will help you develop your SEN skills further.

Key duties of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide consistent, tailored 1:1 support to help the pupil engage with lessons and classroom routines
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the child's individual needs
Deliver targeted interventions set out in EHCPs or support plans
Encourage communication, independence, and positive social interaction
Support emotional regulation using agreed behaviour strategies
Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and outside professionals
Track progress and contribute to support reviews and reports
Build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil and their familyWhat the school is looking for:
Experience supporting children (school, care, youth work, or similar)
Previous SEN experience such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs is highly desirable
A calm, patient and nurturing personality
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
