We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor / ER Advisor / Employer Relations Advisor for an initial 3‑month contract via Hays.This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional to play a key role in delivering a high-quality, proactive Employee Relations service, supporting managers and staff across aplex, multi-site environment.You will join a busy ER function and be responsible for managing casework, providing expert advice, and supporting the delivery of people initiatives that improve workforce experience and organisational oues.Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a caseload of employee relations issues including:Absence and ill-healthDisciplinary and grievancePerformance and capability matters
2. Act as a first point of contact for managers, providing advice on HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
3. Support and advise on investigations and participate in formal hearings for lessplex ER cases
4. Analyse ER data ( sickness absence trends) and provide insight to support decision-making
5. Support organisational change activities, ensuringpliance with People policies and procedures.
6. Maintain accurate case records and contribute to reporting,ernance, and audit requirements
7. Contribute to training and coaching managers, building capability and promoting best practice
Person Specification
8. Proven experience in an Employee Relations / HR Advisory role, ideally within the public sector
9. Strong experience managing ER casework end-to-end
10. Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR policies
11. Confident advising managers and influencing stakeholders at all levels
12. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload
13. Available at short notice / immediately (highly desirable)
