As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth and strengthen key partnerships.
Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in growing our presence within NHS CHC commissioning teams and private Case Management services. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, nurturing long-standing relationships, and positioning our organisation as the provider of choice for community and homecare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a targeted business development strategy to expand our services within NHS CHC funders and private Case Managers.
* Build strong, trusted relationships with ICBs, CHC teams, discharge coordinators, brokerage teams, and private Case Management organisations.
* Proactively identify and secure new referrals, tender opportunities, and service contracts.
* Coordinate and deliver high-quality presentations, proposals, and service demonstrations tailored to stakeholder needs.
* Maintain thorough knowledge of CHC funding pathways, procurement processes, and market developments within the community and homecare sector.
* Work closely with operational, clinical, and care management teams to ensure proposed solutions align with service delivery capabilities.
* Represent the organisation professionally at external meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
* Manage a robust pipeline, tracking outcomes, conversions, and revenue targets while regularly reporting on performance.
* Uphold compliance standards, safeguarding principles, and ethical business practices.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development within homecare, community care, complex care, or related healthcare sectors.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering against significant growth targets.
* Proven success engaging and generating business with NHS CHC funders, commissioning teams, and private Case Managers.
* In-depth understanding of community and homecare service models, including regulated services, care pathways, and package mobilisation.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
* Skilled in producing compelling proposals and confident in delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Willingness to travel to stakeholder locations across regions as required.
* Previous clinical background (e.g., nursing, allied health, or care management) is an advantage and will support effective stakeholder engagement and service understanding.
