Full time in office - Caerphilly (2 days per week from home after 6 months)

We're looking for 3 Junior Software Developers who are well versed in Backend Development in TypeScript / Node.js and good exposure to SQL databases.
Ideally the successful Developers will have 12 months commercial experience - this can be industry or as part of a Degree.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Developers to join our clients development team. In this role, you will help kickstart the creation of their new SaaS product. You should be comfortable working within a modern tech stack such TS/JS, React, Next.js, Node, Three.js; and ready to tackle challenges in a fast-paced startup setting. You will collaborate closely with the product management team, contribute to technical decision-making, and, when needed, communicate directly with clients to explain technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and Implement Features: Build robust, scalable components using JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node, and Three.js.
* Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product management and design teams to transform ideas into functional code.
* Rapid Prototyping: Quickly translate product requirements into working software, adapting to changes as necessary.
* Client Interaction: Occasionally participate in meetings to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and gather feedback.
* Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and maintain a high standard of code quality under tight deadlines.
* Documentation: Document your code and development processes to ensure clarity and maintainability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency:
* Strong knowledge of Typescript / JavaScript, with experience in Node.js and SQL databases
* Familiarity with modern development practices and tools.
Communication Skills:
* Ability to clearly articulate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Confidence to engage in client meetings and discussions.
Adaptability:
* Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Team Player:
* Eagerness to learn and collaborate with a diverse team.
Desirable Experience:
* Previous experience in a startup or agile environment is a plus.
* Driver’s licence (for site visits).
* Experience in React, Next.js, and Three.js preferred.
