As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will lead the delivery of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors, managing teams and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will provide technical leadership, oversee project performance, and contribute to business development activities, while mentoring and developing engineers across the team.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the structural design and delivery of projects across sectors including education, healthcare, retail, commercial, industrial, and residential
* Act as a key client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships throughout project lifecycles
* Manage multidisciplinary coordination with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
* Provide technical leadership and undertake design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
* Mentor, support, and develop junior and senior engineers within the team
* Oversee project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and programme management
* Prepare and review detailed design calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation
* Drive high standards in safety, sustainability, and quality throughout project delivery
* Support business development activities, including networking, fee proposals, and attending client meetings
* Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Leeds Structures team
What We're Looking For
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
* Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE preferred)
* Significant experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment
* Strong technical design experience across a range of sectors and structural materials
* Proficiency with structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, MasterSeries, and ETABS
* Working knowledge of Revit and BIM processes would be beneficial
* Proven experience leading projects, managing teams, and maintaining client relationships
* Strong commercial awareness and project management capability
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong leadership qualities
