Role Overview
This is a generalist accounts role supporting both the Purchase and Sales Ledger functions. The role requires a considered, organized approach and a can-do attitude. The Finance Assistant will, with relevant time and training, become fully conversant with all aspects of Purchase, Sales, and General Ledgers. Experience in Xero is essential.
About Chef Works Europe Ltd
Chef Works and Bragard are leading global culinary apparel brands, manufacturing and distributing hospitality uniforms across 90+ countries under Chef Works Europe Ltd. Our team is primarily based in Farsley, Leeds, with a showroom and meeting space in London and a remote sales team.
Responsibilities include:
1. Processing all sales invoices
2. Handling royalties and commissions
3. Assisting the finance manager with accruals, prepayments, and journals
4. Supporting management accounts preparation
5. Reconciling all bank accounts
6. Credit control
7. Stock reconciliation, producing monthly stock location reports, and making necessary adjustments
8. Conducting twice-yearly stock takes including reconciliation
9. Maintaining asset register
10. Calculating monthly depreciation
11. Posting and reconciling intercompany accounts
12. Quarterly VAT returns
13. Assisting with the annual audit
14. Supporting the preparation of consolidated management accounts pack
Other Duties
Supporting ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager or Senior Management.
Location
The role is based in modern, refurbished offices in Farsley, Leeds, with free on-site parking and within walking distance of local amenities.
Offer
* Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience
