Contracts Manager Role Overview Black Fox Solutions are delighted to be working with our client, a leading construction and fit out company, to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager. This is a key role, responsible for overseeing multiple projects from award through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Contract & Commercial Management Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage risk effectively. Prepare and manage contractual documentation including variations, claims, and final accounts. Project Delivery Lead multiple projects from mobilisation through to handover. Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient execution. Monitor progress against programme, taking corrective action where required. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Act as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and main contractors. Attend and chair project meetings, providing clear, timely updates. Build and maintain strong relationships to encourage repeat business. Financial Oversight Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls. Approve payments and ensure accurate financial reporting. Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all works meet relevant health & safety, environmental, and quality standards. Oversee RAMS, O&M manuals, and project documentation. Support internal and external audits and drive continuous improvement. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within construction or fit out. Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC). Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable Attributes Membership of a professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS). Experience with BIM and digital project delivery tools.
