A Locum Social Worker is required to join Ceredigion’s Community Mental Health team. This is predominantly a hybrid role allowing you to work partly from home and partly on site. You will need to work at least one day on site per week based out of Aberystwyth. Ideally you will commit to a full‑time contract of 37 hours per week, but applications for fewer hours are welcome as long as a minimum of three days on site is maintained. These roles are to start in January. The advert has closed but the team will appoint as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
You will be required to work with a caseload of around 20–25 service users and carers, primarily adults with mental health issues and dementia. The role involves conducting assessments, reviews and care plans across Ceredigion and neighbouring counties. You will need to be competent in SSWBA and MCA, and ideally have a working knowledge of the court of protection process.
Qualifications
* Minimum 6 months experience in the UK as a registered social worker
* Relevant Social Work qualification
* Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England
* Enhanced DBS – registered on the update service or willing to apply for a DBS
* Driving licence with access to a car
