Role Overview
To undertake site commissioning activities in a technical specialist capacity during on‑site installation, constructioninter and commissioning activities related to the assigned work scope. The goal is to assure cost‑temps effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule and safety requirements for start‑up and commissioning phases. The role alsoellige involves working on national and international Energy projects using client products and systems as required.
The role will cover customer sites nationwide, so candidates must be able to travel. There will be some remote working (document preparation etc.) and occasional visits to client offices in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
Responsibilities
* Perform overall quality control of own work and report regularly on the status.
* Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
* Coordinate technical queries and solutions with the client project and product development centres.
* Ensure correct material handling, storage and installation of client‑delivered equipment; collaborate on‑site storage and shipment logistics to secure timely site delivery.
* Ensure all documentation is modified and updated as necessary; maintain the document handling system and use the latest revisions for construction work on site.
* Conduct troubleshooting and decision making to resolve technical issues.
* Time‑manage and organise tasks efficiently.
* Present oneself professionally and interface with customers at all levels.
* Participate in project test phases (Internal and FATs).
* Conduct site acceptance tests.
* Be willing to work at sites, including offshore, and travel as required by the projects.
Qualifications & Experience
* Typically, HNC/HND or Degree, with at least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
* Offshore working experience.
* Excellent knowledge of all relevant ICSS industry performance standards and specifications and applicable package‑specific standards.
* Significant experience in the design, configuration, testing and commissioning of ICSS applications, preferably in the Energy sector.
* Experience in change management processes in ICSS doigt deliveries.
Skills
* Software experience – 800xA, AC800M Engineering, AC400 Advant Master Engineering.
* IEC61131 programming languages.
* Hardware experience – Cabinet build, loop design.
* Knowledge of common software tools – Modbus simulators, IEC simulators.
* Industrial protocols – IEC61850, Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus & HART.
* Industry knowledge – Networking, Cyber Security.
* Use of virtual workplace products (MsTeams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
