Description The Global Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is seeking for a Early Life-cyle Project Manager (ELM PM) for Base Building! The Base Building ELM Project Manager supports the construction phases, building equipment qualification with major focus on Fire Life Safety, Electrical, HVAC (Heat and Ventilation Air Conditioning) and BMS (Building Management Systems. ELM PM is working with data to find root causes of top installation and commissioning issues and generate improvements on further launches and retrofits across Europe. Key job responsibilities - Travel up to 40% of the time to witness commissioning and vendor qualification - Manage independently projects and initiatives, generate reports and KPIs management for significant milestones - Lead scheduling for base building qualification, identification of the milestones at installation and operational to trigger quality inspections and equipment acceptance criteria for base building equipment. - Lead change management for development of Building templates specification and site specific composites - Lead continuous improvement for all new buildings including cross functional collaboration other teams with Design and Construction, Procurement, Launch and Execution, Subject Matter Experts, vendors - Improve 3P vendor' templates for report and calculate cost of poor quality - Integrate Amazon policies, specification and validate this via checklist and documentation handover requirements - Capture lessons-learned and develop/execute action plans to improve quality or efficiency of new facility launches and building equipment installation. - Calculate the anticipated life cycle cost based on quotes from repairs and hours calculation for quality deviations and embed lessons learned at design and commissioning stages. - Dashboards improvements to evolve new KPIs and checklist management for base building data Basic Qualifications - 5 years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience - Bachelor's degree - Bachelor's degree, or experience in distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent mechanical or electrical field - Experience in project and program management and delivering key business outcomes - Experience within the areas of Greenfield infrastructure building and construction Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field - Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools - Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels - Experience working in a fast paced, quickly changing or international environment - Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes, and make data-driven decisions - Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
