What's the opportunity?
To support the smooth and safe movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within the juice production facility using a forklift truck (FLT), ensuring materials are delivered to the right place at the right time in accordance with production and hygiene standards.
What will the role involve?
· Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
· Load and unload deliveries, including raw juice ingredients, packaging, and pallets.
· Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and dispatch zones.
· Conduct pre-use safety checks on forklift vehicles and report any defects.
· Maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management systems (WMS) or manual logs.
· Work closely with production and warehouse teams to meet daily operational targets.
· Adhere to site food safety, hygiene, and health & safety protocols at all times.
· Support stock counts and inventory checks as required.
· Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with factory standards (e.g., BRC, HACCP).
· Assist with other general warehouse duties when not driving.
What experience, skills, and traits do I need?
· Valid accredited forklift truck licence (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR).
· Proven experience operating FLTs in a food or manufacturing environment.
· Good understanding of warehouse operations and manual handling.
· Strong awareness of health, safety, and hygiene practices in a food production setting.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
· Physically fit – ability to lift and move stock safely.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
