Remuneration: £28,000 - £35,000 + bonus

The role of the Specification Technician – Flat Roofing Systems will involve:
* Specification Technician position dealing with various flat roof systems such as; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc
* Produce, check and process incoming technical specification requests, detail drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations
* Checking of all incoming specification types produced for all waterproofing systems, against suitability and compatibility
* Review completed roof survey reports
* Liaison with clients and Area Technical Sales Managers providing technical advice
* Dealing with inbound telephone and email enquiries
* Checking and understanding specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Technician – Flat Roofing Systems with:
* Must be a technically minded individual with experience within the construction industry
* Experience carrying out calculations such as: wind load, u-value, moisture control, structural calculations, load calculations would be highly advantageous
* Candidates coming from an architectural background would be a good fit
* Ideally will have experience within the roofing and waterproofing market sector
* Familiar with technical literature, specifications and surveys / reports
* Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
* Ideally will have a construction related degree
* Strong technical skills
* IT literate (Microsoft Office)
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
