Infection Prevention Data Administrator

NHS Band 2 Salary: £25,272 per annum. Hours per week: full time 37.5. Contract type: Permanent.

Main duties of the job
Key roles and responsibilities include:
* Administrative duties to support the team.
* Maintain and provide regular reports on a routine and ad hoc basis.
* Provide high quality accurate data to enable accurate reporting and monitoring of Trust performance.
* Assist the Data Analyst in producing key datasets in line with NHS Information Standards Board guidelines and Trust needs.
* Monitor information variances and pursue discrepancies to identify changes in data collection requirements.
* Assist in day‑to‑day management/maintenance of information systems ensuring appropriate data storage and correct system use.
* Support the Data Analyst and clinical team in collecting and entering data for the Trust’s Surgical Site Infection Surveillance.
* Respond to requests for information and advice, referring to other team members appropriately.
* Provide effective administrative support to the Infection Prevention and Control Team.
* Administer key departmental meetings/committees: booking venues, preparing agendas, producing minutes, ensuring an accurate audit trail.
* Handle telephone enquiries and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally.
Person Specification
Experience
* NHS experience.
Qualifications
* Good standard of education; GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent.
Skills and Knowledge
* Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
* Good organisational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision using own initiative.
* Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy.
* Ability to analyse numerical and written data.
* Ability to interpret guidance and policy requirements.
* Knowledge of database systems and/or data warehouse systems.
