This includes working with petrol, diesel, and electric vehicles, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll ensure that vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and fully operational — helping us keep everything moving efficiently on the ground.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance and repair work on a range of airport vehicles, plant, and equipment.
* Carry out planned and unplanned servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines, statutory requirements, and internal procedures.
* Prioritise tasks based on safety, operational, environmental, and cost considerations, as directed by your line manager.
* Ensure all work is recorded accurately using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Maintain vehicle availability to a high standard while ensuring roadworthiness and safety compliance.
* Collaborate with customers on equipment usage and provide expert advice and support.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment.
* Participate in the 24-hour on-call support rota as required.
* Carry out administrative duties and use relevant systems and technology effectively.
* Stay up to date with technical knowledge and participate in ongoing training.
Requirements:
* City & Guilds Part 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent qualification in Motor Vehicle/LGV Mechanics or related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the maintenance, testing, and inspection of LGV, plant, and specialist vehicles.
* Full UK driving licence.
* LGV C+E licence (Class 1).
* Ability to provide a 5-year checkable history (e.g. employment, education, or other activity) to meet airport security requirements.
