About the Company
Here at NEST (Nacro Education, Support and Transition) we are commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council Children Services to provide safe and stable accommodation to 16-21 year olds across the county of Lincolnshire. Within NEST we have 3 Intensive Need houses, these are located within the city of Lincoln and are a short walk away from each other. The 3 houses are each home to 1 or 2 young people who are supported by a 24/7 staff team consisting of day, evening and dedicated night support workers. All three houses are well presented traditional Lincoln city homes and present as a typical family home in the community; all featuring a staff office.
About the Role
If you are looking for the role that every support worker dreams of- no big case load, just focused time with up to 2 young people allowing you to make a positive impact on every shift- then look no further!
Responsibilities
* Support the young person 1-2-1 in their living environment, tailoring a support package around them based upon their current needs.
* Devise meal plans and arrange cooking sessions with the young person.
* Contact local education providers and arrange visits with the young person if they are NEET (not in education, employment or training).
* Identify activities that support the young person's mental health and arrange to complete those activities together.
* Document the positive journey of the young person through action planning, safety planning, and completion of other monitoring tools.
Qualifications
* A Full Driving License and access to a vehicle are essential as occasionally there may be a requirement to work in the community and/or service setting/ at other hub locations within Lincolnshire.
* An Enhanced and Barred DBS check will be required for this role.

* Strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience working with young people who have experienced trauma.
* Ability to lone work in a home setting.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary - £24,195 Per Annum
