The Opportunity

A globalorganisation specialising in orthopaedic solutions, rehabilitation technologies, bracing, surgical reconstruction and patient recovery products. Operating across multiple international markets, the business partners with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes through clinically differentiated products, innovative technologies and integrated care pathways


With a strong presence across NHS and private healthcare settings, the organisation is investing heavily in strategic growth initiatives and commercial transformation across the UK & Ireland. As part of this expansion, they are seeking an experienced Strategic Partnerships Manager to identify and develop high-value strategic relationships, national account opportunities and cross-portfolio growth initiatives.


This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to senior leadership and offers the opportunity to shape commercial strategy across one of the most respected organisations within the orthopaedic sector.


The Role

The Strategic Partnerships Manager will be responsible for developing enterprise-level partnerships and strategic accounts across NHS, private healthcare, orthotic and commercial healthcare channels. Working closely with commercial, clinical, marketing and operational teams, you will identify scalable growth opportunities, support market expansion initiatives and drive long-term strategic partnerships that strengthen the organisation's position within the UK & Ireland healthcare market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Development- Identify, develop and accelerate high-value strategic account opportunities across NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Systems (ICS), private healthcare providers and commercial healthcare organisations. .
  • Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across clinical, procurement, commissioning and executive leadership
  • Lead strategic account planning and partnership development initiatives.
  • Support national standardisation programmes and pathway adoption opportunities.
  • Develop long-term partnership strategies aligned to customer and organisational objectives.
  • Commercial Growth & Market Expansion
  • Identify new market opportunities and channel development initiatives.
  • Drive cross-portfolio growth opportunities across orthopaedic and rehabilitation product categories.
  • Support the development of integrated customer solutions and pathway-based healthcare programmes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise commercial opportunities across the wider product portfolio.
  • NHS & Market Access Engagement
  • Support market access and reimbursement initiatives.
  • Engage with healthcare stakeholders to identify opportunities for pathway inclusion and service redesign.
  • Contribute to value-based healthcare programmes and innovative care models.
  • Develop pilot projects and strategic healthcare partnerships that support improved patient outcomes.
  • Strategic Projects & Governance
  • Maintain visibility of strategic opportunities and partnership pipelines.
  • Support forecasting, commercial planning and business case development.
  • Lead strategic projects and commercial transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment across commercial, clinical and operational functions.


Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience within the orthopaedic medical device sector.
  • Strong understanding of orthopaedic products, patient pathways and healthcare delivery models.
  • Demonstrable success in strategic account management, business development or commercial leadership roles.
  • Experience managing complex NHS and/or private healthcare stakeholder environments.
  • Track record of developing senior-level customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and execute growth opportunities.
  • Experience navigating complex procurement and healthcare decision-making processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.


Highly Desirable

  • Experience within orthotics, bracing, rehabilitation, sports medicine or orthopaedic reconstruction markets.
  • Exposure to market access, reimbursement or healthcare pathway development initiatives.
  • Experience working with Integrated Care Systems (ICS), NHS procurement frameworks and national healthcare programmes
  • Understanding of value-based healthcare and service redesign programmes.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts.
