About the Role
If you are interested in providing school meals for children of all ages, consider joining our Catering Assistants teams in the Leven and Kirkcaldy area. We have both permanent and temporary vacancies, Monday to Friday, on a 38-week contract.
* Kirkcaldy High School: 10 hours/week, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
* Windmill High School: 10 hours/week, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
* East Wemyss Primary School: 10 hours/week, 12:00 noon to 2:00pm (temporary for one year)
Leven Vacancies:
* Parkhill Primary School: 2 posts x 10 hours/week, 38-week contract, 10:00am to 12:00 noon or 12:00 noon to 2:00pm
* Methilhill Primary School: 16.25 hours/week, 12:00 noon to 2:00pm
Salary and Benefits
You will earn a pro-rata salary of £22,525.71 and have access to benefits including:
* Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00/hour, with extra payments for shift work, including weekends
* Pay every 4 weeks; annualised for 38-week contracts

Role Responsibilities
This role involves providing excellent customer service, ensuring pupils and staff receive hot or cold meals daily. You will contribute to breakfast clubs, morning breaks, and lunch services. On-the-job training will be provided, including working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate.
The Person
Pre-employment requirements: Obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. Attend induction training before starting in the role.
