We're now looking for a Warehouse Team Manager to join our Belfast operation. This is a hands on leadership role where you'll support the day to day running of the warehouse, lead a small team, and help create a safe, positive and high performing environment.
This role sits at first line manager level and is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional, supervisor or early career manager looking to take the next step.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* Leading by example to promote a strong Safety First culture, including the day to day use of Behaviour Based Safety (BBS)
* Making sure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) are up to date, clearly displayed and followed correctly on the shop floor
* Supporting the smooth running of the daily warehouse operation, ensuring customer and business expectations are met
* Helping to maintain standards across quality, safety and operational management systems
* Engaging with your team throughout the shift, encouraging positive behaviours, consistency and open communication
* Taking ownership of issues within your area, while knowing when to escalat or ask for support
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
* Has previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or similar environment
* Has experience leading, supervising or managing a small team (desirable but not essential)
* Is confident using basic IT systems such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
* Is comfortable working with a level of independence and accountability
* Is looking to develop their leadership and management skills - DHL provides training and upskilling to support your growth
