ROLE: Air Hygiene Supervisor
HOURS: 40 Hours per week
LOCATION: Bristol (travel required around whole southwest Region)

We're looking for an Air Hygiene Supervisor who will work under the direct supervision of the Field Manager, supporting and guiding operatives while also carrying out technical air hygiene tasks across various sites.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Supervise operatives, ensuring safe working practices in line with RAMS, and maintain professional communication with clients at all times.
2. Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Grease.
3. Carry out ventilation system cleaning in accordance with TR19.
4. Install access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW.
5. Inspect fire dampers in accordance with BS.
6. Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed.
7. Follow a preventative maintenance programme.
8. Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant and recommend equipment purchases where appropriate.
9. Maintain personal equipment and chemical stock inventories.
10. Submit same‑day service reports.
11. Complete and submit a pre‑work risk assessment before every job.
12. Carry out all work as scheduled and follow method statements at all times.
13. Ensure safe working practices in line with RAMS and maintain updated records.
14. Comply with site rules and communicate professionally with on‑site contacts, explaining methods and outcomes prior to leaving site.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements for the role:
15. Excellent air hygiene knowledge.
16. Ability to operate and maintain ventilation systems.
17. A recognised qualification is desirable but not essential.
18. Strong teamwork and client service skills.
19. Personal administration, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
20. Decision‑making and negotiation skills.
21. Literacy skills, including the ability to read technical manuals.
22. Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
23. Strong time‑management skills.
24. Valid UK driving licence.
25. Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Management policies.
26. Compliance with Environmental Management System policies.
