About the position: YMCA Bournemouths Child Contact Centres in Southbourne and Townsend are fully accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC). We provide opportunities for families to maintain relationships even when they do not live together. We are looking for a Child Contact Centre Supervisor to join our team and facilitate supervised, supported family time both in the children centres and in the community. As supervisor, you will support the manager by running the centres at weekends. This role will involve: To ensure a safe environment for children and best practice regarding safeguarding/child protection To work closely with the child contact centre manager to ensure family time sessions are appropriately supervised To deal with service users enquiries, ensuring emails and records of conversations are filed online To quality assure practitioner recordings of family times to ensure they are concise, relevant and accurate What were looking for: You will be a passionate and motivated individual who is driven by our mission to empower individuals and create stronger communities. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA Bournemouth safeguarding policy and BCP Safeguarding Children Partnership and Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership statutory guidance. If the role involves regulated activity with children or adults at risk, your employment will be subject to an Enhanced level DBS check prior to commencement date.
