Position
We are seeking a Vice President for the Acquisitions Team within the Global Transportation Group in London. This role is pivotal in shaping GTG's investment strategy, specifically in identifying and executing corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in corporate M&A, comprehensive knowledge of the entire M&A process, and familiarity with legal documents such as shareholder agreements, definitive agreements, LOIs, and joint venture agreements. Leadership skills to guide junior team members on value-driving strategies like due diligence, merger modeling, negotiations, and structuring are essential. Candidates with over seven years of banking experience in top-tier or bulge bracket banks, especially within M&A or Transportation Industry coverage, are preferred. A legal background or degree is highly advantageous.

* Interest and experience in transportation sectors (maritime, energy logistics, aviation, rail, leasing, vehicle fleets, etc.)
Responsibilities
1. Pipeline Development: Collaborate with GTG senior management to identify potential acquisition targets aligned with the fund's mandate.
2. Valuation and Pricing: Build and analyze valuation models, estimate synergies, and compare with outside opinions.
3. M&A Process Management: Develop tailored approaches for each opportunity, coordinating with internal and external resources.
4. Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive reviews of target companies' contracts, financials, legal, and operational aspects.
5. Documentation: Prepare and review M&A documents such as LOIs, definitive agreements, and closing conditions.
6. Negotiation: Lead negotiations to structure deals favorably for the fund.
7. Communication: Keep senior management and the Investment Committee informed; present to investors as needed.
Additional Qualifications
* Master’s or graduate degree in Business or Law (preferred)
* Experience with transportation sectors (preferred)
* Series 7 and 63 licenses (preferred)
* Experience in project finance, private equity, or financial sponsorship (preferred)
* Strong analytical, contractual, and financial modeling skills
* Fluency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, German, or Mandarin (beneficial)
* Master’s degree from a recognized institution
