Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Business India
Amazon Business (business.amazon.in) launched in India in September 2017 with the vision to be the destination for all businesses in India to find, discover and buy for all their business needs, and it is still day 1 for us. Amazon Business represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high interest for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions that enable the B2B customer to find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between). Our business customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer and we are reinventing everything from how we display our selection, price our products, and provide the right customer experience.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and collaborative. They will have a strong understanding of different businesses and the underlying analytics, and the ability to translate business requirements into analysis, collect and analyze data, and make recommendations back to the business. The candidate for this role will be required to continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to help design new studies and build new tools that help our team automate and accelerate analytics. The candidate is also expected to collaborate with Amazon Business worldwide teams to tailor global solutions for India.
Key job responsibilities
-Design automated BI solutions for recurrent reporting
-Independently work with business stakeholders to run fortnightly Sprint meetings
-Partner with Data and Software engineering team to define and build the data elements and data structure that the team should leverage to enable analytical capabilities
-Automate processes which enable in-depth analysis
-Engage with leadership and diversified customer groups to understand the needs and recommend business intelligence solutions
-Publish, analyze and improve dashboards, operational business metrics decks and key performance indicators
-Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the operational and quality metrics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
