For you, working with us can mean deeper job satisfaction, better rewards, and a great quality of life inside and outside of work.**Job Title**:Lead Assembly Planner**Reporting To:**Manager, Operations - A&T/HT**Work Schedule:**Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBRMoog Aircraft Group is seeking a Lead Assembly Planner to manage the assembly planning team and act as the technical authority for all planning activity.You will own adherence to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and be the escalation point for assembly planning issues. The planners reporting to you will manage full demand (OE, Global Sustainment and Spares), so you will ensure end-to-end demand is translated into accurate, executable assembly releases.**Key Responsibilities*** Lead and develop the assembly planning team, including coaching, workload allocation, performance management and recruitment.* Own MPS & IBP adherence, translating strategic plans into operational schedules and ensuring governance and standards are met.* Act as the technical planning expert and first escalation point for planners and cross-functional stakeholders; resolve complex planning scenarios.* Ensure planners deliver full demand coverage (OE, GS and Spares), maintaining prioritisation across programmes.* Manage scheduling and identify/mitigate material shortages against the plan.* Coordinate closely with Machine Shop, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality to remove delivery blockers.* Liaise with Global Sustainment on spares and repair requirements.* Provide timely, accurate reporting and data to stakeholders; define and track KPIs (including On Time Delivery).* Maintain planning systems and documentation; implement Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) into planning systems when required.* Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles—optimise processes, tools and planning accuracy.* Define best practice, planning standards and training for the planning team.**What You’ll Bring*** Proven experience leading production/assembly planning teams in a manufacturing environment.* Strong technical expertise in planning (MRP/ERP, MPS/IBP processes) and advanced Excel skills.* Demonstrable experience managing OE, sustainment and spares demand.* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable influencing at senior levels.* Practical experience with Lean/continuous improvement methodologies.* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to coach others through complex scenarios.* Able to work proactively under pressure and manage competing priorities.* Engineering or technical background is advantageous.* Experience working and planning within SAP business system.We review applications on an ongoing basis, and the job posting will be closed once a suitable candidate is selected.
