Transaction Tax Director (Growth-Focused Role)

About the role...
My client’s Transaction Services team is scaling fast, and they’re looking for a dynamic Transaction Tax Director to help lead that growth. This is a senior, high-impact role with a strong focus on business development and leadership.
You’ll be the most senior Transaction Tax specialist in their London office, with a clear mandate to grow their presence across the South East. It\'s an exciting opportunity to shape strategy, build out a team, and make a real mark in a business that’s expanding rapidly.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading end-to-end transaction tax engagements – strategic advice, due diligence, structuring, and planning
* Partnering with clients to develop tax strategies aligned with their commercial goals
* Driving business development – identifying opportunities, winning work, and supporting revenue growth
* Building strong relationships across the M&A landscape – intermediaries, legal, PE, industry, and internal teams
* Staying ahead of tax law changes and communicating insights clearly and confidently
* Project managing service delivery with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
* Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture
* Overseeing key operational metrics – budgets, team utilisation, and working capital management
About you
You’ll be an experienced transaction tax professional with a strong track record in both technical delivery and business development. You’ll be commercially minded, relationship-driven, and excited about the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing team.
* Significant experience in transaction tax, ideally in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
* Strong commercial acumen and experience winning new business
* A confident leader and mentor who brings out the best in others
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
