The Role As the Care Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall performance of the home, ensuring outstanding care delivery, strong governance, and full compliance with CQC regulations. You will lead and develop multidisciplinary teams including care, hospitality, activities, and administration, embedding best practice and creating an environment where residents and colleagues can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day operational management of the residential care home, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care. Maintain full compliance with CQC standards, inspections, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. Act as the Registered Manager, taking accountability for quality, safeguarding, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement. Oversee recruitment, retention, induction, training, supervision, and performance management of staff. Manage staffing levels, rotas, and workforce planning to meet resident needs and operational requirements. Requirements: Proven experience as a Care Home Manager / Registered Home Manager within a residential, elderly, or dementia care setting. Strong working knowledge of CQC compliance, inspection frameworks, and regulatory requirements. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent) – essential or strongly preferred. Confident leadership style with excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills. Experience managing audits, safeguarding, governance, and continuous quality improvement. Ability to manage budgets, staffing, occupancy, and operational performance effectively.
