Overview
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. This is a role within Tesco stores for a colleague who delivers great service and supports store operations with a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; provide great natural service.
* Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in the store.
* Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
* Apply training to work safely, effectively and to help customers brilliantly.
* Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines in store that meet customer needs at the right time.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be aware of store performance and how you contribute to service, sales, waste reduction and profit.
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
* Follow Tesco values, be welcoming, and adhere to store policies.
* Occasionally assist with deliveries into the store when required.
You will need
* A passion for delivering great service and greeting customers with a smile.
* Ability to build rapport so customers leave with a positive shopping experience.
* Initiative to make decisions that help customers.
* Ability to work well in a team and communicate openly.
* Ability to build relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive team spirit.
* Be reliable, well presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.
Availability and pay
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if desired. Pay starts from £12.45 per hour, increasing to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. Availability windows are scheduled with 3 weeks’ notice for shifts.
