Role:
We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join our client’s Transport team on a temporary basis. This role is key in supporting the smooth running of the transport operations and will suit someone with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to pass a DBS check.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide general administrative support to the Transport team.
• Manage filing and archiving systems, ensuring records are accurate and accessible.
• Maintain transport planner and vehicle maintenance files.
• Raise purchase orders (POs), process receipting, and accurately record costs.
• Prepare and process import and export documentation.
• Support compliance with internal and external transport requirements.
Skills & Requirements:
• Previous experience in a transport or logistics administrative role (desirable but not essential).
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
