We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Functional Lead, IT to join our Cambridge, ON team. This role involves leading digital manufacturing initiatives, streamlining processes, and implementing innovative solutions to improve production capabilities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT – Commercial Operations, you will work with cross-functional teams to enhance systems like MES, ERP, and quality systems.
What You’ll Do:
1. Serve as the functional lead for digital manufacturing initiatives, focusing on MES systems such as iBase-t Solumina.
2. Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements to develop technical solutions.
3. Design manufacturing systems aligned with business objectives.
4. Perform hands-on system configuration, data migration, and application updates.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems like SAP, MES, and QMS.
6. Maintain system security and data integrity.
7. Lead and mentor project teams, collaborating with external partners.
8. Conduct stakeholder meetings, training, and knowledge transfer.
9. Implement operational efficiencies through process improvements.
10. Ensure quality through rigorous testing and validation.
11. Provide technical documentation and reports for stakeholders.
What You Bring:
* 10+ years of IT experience, especially in manufacturing systems and digital transformation.
* Hands-on experience with MES systems, particularly iBase-t Solumina.
* Knowledge of ERP, timekeeping, and QMS systems.
* Experience in capturing requirements, solution design, and data migration.
* Understanding of project management methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
* Experience working with PMOs and cross-functional teams.
* Strong technical support and solution design skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
