Job Details
Position: Pathologist (Surgical Pathology & Cytology)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as credentialed – Ongoing
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Pathologist specializing in Surgical Pathology. You will have expertise in various subspecialties, including GI, GU, Dermatopathology, Cytology, Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, and Blood Bank. This full-time role involves reading 12-16 biopsies per day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality diagnostic interpretations for Surgical Pathology cases.
* Interpret and perform Cytology studies, including GYN and Non-GYN specimens.
* Review and provide diagnostic expertise in Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, and Blood Bank.
* Deliver accurate and timely pathology reports, collaborating closely with clinical teams.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation for each case in the Epic EMR system.
* Stay current with advancements in pathology techniques and provide leadership within the team.
Skills & Experience Required
* Expertise in Surgical Pathology, with strong preference for GI, GU, and Dermatopathology.
* Proficiency in Cytology, especially with GYN and Non-GYN specimens.
* Experience in performing Fine Needle Aspirations (FNAs) and other cytological procedures.
* Knowledge in Hematology and Microbiology is preferred.
* Strong understanding of Chemistry/Serology and Blood Bank practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Licensing Requirements
* Must be WI licensed or eligible through IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact).
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
