We are currently seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join their high-performing team based at their Larkfield facility. About the Role: As a Workshop Engineer, you’ll be an essential part of daily operations – preparing, maintaining, and modifying machinery to ensure it performs to the highest standards. This role is fully workshop-based, meaning no fieldwork or company vehicle is required. Key Responsibilities: Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to customer specifications, including fluid checks and function testing Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including retrofitting components Prepare machines for demos and internal use Manage loading/unloading of machines using forklifts Accurately complete goods-in and goods-out documentation Assist with internal machine movement and support the service team as requiredWhat We’re Looking For: Minimum 5 years' experience in construction plant or heavy equipment NVQ Level 2 or higher in Plant, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Strong general engineering, bench fitting, and plant servicing skills Valid forklift license (or willingness to obtain) Foreman or team leader experience is a plusWho You Are: A dependable, team-oriented Workshop Engineer with excellent communication skills Detail-driven with strong literacy and numeracy Customer-focused and physically fit for the role’s demandsWhat’s on Offer: Hourly rate of £16.50 – £19.50 (depending on experience) Full-time, stable, workshop-based role in Larkfield Forklift training (if required) Pension and overtime potential Pathway to further development within the service network
