About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Account Executive to join us in a hybrid role working with our fantastic colleagues in our PHA North team based in Manchester and Corporate division based in London.
You’ll be part of a talented team, thanks to a group of motivated individuals who strive to deliver impressive results and work with exciting clients that are driving change within their industries.
PHA North and the PHA corporate team already work closely on a roster of impressive clients across a range of sectors, including globally recognised companies and ambitious brands with fantastic stories to tell. We have a growing portfolio of exciting corporate and B2B clients that are at the forefront of game changing innovation that they want to amplify on a regional and national level. Therefore, we’re looking for an individual that has some experience and passion for corporate and B2B PR.
Team members at every level are client-facing and encouraged to come up with ideas to add value. The role involves putting our clients’ messages at the fore of the national and sector media agenda, with a proactive news-led approach.
What you will be doing
Client responsibilities
* Writing long form thought leadership articles across a variety of topics.
* Proactively identify media ideas and angles for clients, ensuring a steady pipeline of activity which is reported up to managers.
* Regular delivery of high-quality coverage for accounts and accountability for results
* Proactively build personal relationships with journalists and influencers (where relevant) by attending regular desk visits/coffees/networking with media and influencers.
* Proactively monitoring the news agenda and leveraging relevant stories for reactive coverage opportunities.
* Ownership of client calls on account activity for our Corporate and B2B clients, prepare agendas, and accurately document and circulate actions.
* Development of strategic, creative and value adding ideas for clients including contributing to writing client strategies
* Work with other team members to proactively ensure client-facing documents are accurate and up to date, such as WIP documents, coverage logs, reports, etc.
Growth
* Supporting the team on new business by sourcing opportunities and assisting with proposals.
* Suggest potential brands and businesses who may need PR support, working closely with Sales & Marketing alongside other senior members of your division, and assisting with proposals and content creation support S&M campaigns.
People Management
* Involvement and contributing to team discussions around long-term account strategy.
* Demonstrate consistent and effective upward management to Account Managers, sharing successes and flagging issues/challenges at the earliest opportunity, whilst also starting to identify and suggest possible solutions.
* Provide ad-hoc support and guidance to junior colleagues across accounts, helping them to develop core PR skills, including media relations, writing, and team management.
Industry knowledge
* Develop your network of journalists, influencers, and other key figures relevant to your sector to provide regular opportunities for your clients.
* Use your knowledge of industries relevant to your clients and research skills to contribute to planning and campaign strategies.
Agency responsibilities
* Participate in agency wide activities and initiatives to build relationships and colleagues to include All Staff training, social events, and internal seminar relevant to level.
