CAD/SHIRE Operator

Working Hours: 08:30-17:00 (can be flexible)

The Role:
This is working within the engineering function, supporting the team with systems, documentation, and coordination tasks. While CAD and technical exposure are part of the role, full expertise is not essential-training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Administration
Generating engineering purchase orders (POs) for parts, services, and equipment
Receiving and reviewing quotations, then raising corresponding POs
Maintaining accurate engineering records, spreadsheets, and documentation
Supporting the upkeep and continuous improvement of the PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) system, including adding and updating schedules
Contractor Coordination
Liaising with contractors primarily
Reviewing contractor proposals and supporting plan discussions
Assisting in coordination of works and documentation
CAD & Technical Support
Assisting with site layout planning for new equipment installations
Reviewing room dimensions to determine machinery placement
Updating CAD drawings to reflect alterations, fabrications, and site changes
Supporting engineering projects with basic technical input
