Chef de Partie – Michelin Guide & Good Food Guide Top 100 Pub | £32,500 Tips (£300/month) Location: Barley, Hertfordshire (SG8 8HY) Salary: £32,500 per annum tips (approx. £300 per month) Hours: Full-time | 48 hours per week | Wednesday–Sunday (mix of day & evening shifts, 1 double per week) Accolades: Michelin Guide • Good Food Guide Top 100 Pubs UK • 10x Great British Pub Awards Finalist About the Venue This beautifully restored 350-year-old country pub offers a dining experience that honours traditional British hospitality while showcasing modern craftsmanship and creativity. Menus change with the seasons, combining the best of British produce with traditional cooking techniques such as curing, smoking, and wood-fired grilling, to deliver food that’s both honest and elevated. The Opportunity We’re seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join the brigade. You’ll take ownership of the larder and pastry sections, working closely with a respected Head Chef to maintain high standards and contribute creative input to the menu. This role suits a chef who values precision, seasonality, and a genuine respect for ingredients — with the drive to learn, develop, and grow in an ambitious kitchen. Your Role Run the larder and pastry sections, maintaining consistency and excellence in every service Prepare, cook, and present dishes to 2 AA Rosette standard Contribute to menu ideas and seasonal specials Take responsibility for ordering, stock control, and section organisation Maintain kitchen hygiene, efficiency, and professionalism Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and wider team to deliver exceptional dining experiences About You Experience as a Chef de Partie in a 2 AA Rosette or Michelin Guide–listed kitchen Skilled across larder and pastry, with creativity and attention to detail Passionate about seasonal British produce and traditional cooking methods Reliable, calm, and professional under pressure A strong team player who contributes to a positive kitchen culture Keen to grow within an expanding, well-respected hospitality business What We Offer £32,500 annual salary tips (approx. £300 per month) 48-hour week | Wednesday–Sunday | Combination of day and evening shifts (9am–5pm / 3pm–10:30pm) One double shift per week (two during peak periods) Paid overtime 28 days holiday Discounts on food and beverage Opportunity to work within a Michelin Guide–listed, multi-award-winning environment Long-term career development as part of a growing, high-quality team Apply Now If you’re a passionate and ambitious Chef de Partie ready to join an award-winning kitchen known for quality, seasonality, and craftsmanship, we’d love to hear from you.
