In-House Commercial / Property Litigation Solicitor — Permanent — Manchester.
MCR Property Group is a leading independent real estate investment and development company operating nationally, with offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow. Our core activities include the development of new-build and conversion residential and industrial projects, alongside the active management of a diverse portfolio spanning every asset class. This portfolio includes approximately 7,500 residential plots and commercial and industrial assets with a combined value in excess of £2 billion. For the right candidate, salaries leading up to £100,000 per annum will be considered.
Role
We are seeking an In-House Commercial / Property Litigation Solicitor to join our Manchester-based legal team. Responsibilities
* Manage commercial and property-related disputes and run your own caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
* Instruct Counsel and external solicitors as required, ensuring matters are handled efficiently and in line with commercial objectives.
* Advise property managers on a wide range of commercial and property disputes, providing practical and commercially focused legal guidance.
* Draft comprehensive written advice for the Board, prepare correspondence and legal documentation, and undertake detailed legal drafting across a range of contentious matters.
* Review contractual terms and conditions, offering strategic advice where appropriate, and advise on contractual disputes and proposed amendments.
* Supervise and support more junior members of the legal team, contributing to their development and maintaining high standards of legal output.
Qualifications
* Approximately four years' post-qualification experience in commercial, property or construction disputes.
* Ability to run your own caseload with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, concise and well-reasoned advice to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
* Excellent time management, organisation and record-keeping skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
* Professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive information, with a pragmatic and commercially aware mindset.
